die hard cat man might go blue

I was die hard for a decade on Cat too. Made a change in 03 as I wanted 4 stroke reliability.

I WILL NEVER GO BACK. Wife still wants a Cat though, been trying to talk her into going this route and giving it a try. Habits do die hard!

Welcome Stain. Must be a good story to that handle.
I was a sled a year Polaris die hard since 1981's first 600 tripple.
My first look at the quality and the engine sold me last year on 03 RX-1 that I delt with 6000 miles trouble free.
Purchased a 04 Warrior this year and put 5000 miles on it trouble free to date. I only ride weekends and do not like to waste any time getting ready to go.
It sounds to me like this should be a lock for you.
Check out the post "Old guy sled repair report" if you need any further push.

Note to impalapower. My tow belt has never been used more in all my years of riding. I have pulled doo's and cats all winter some more than once on the same trip and same day.

Getting a decal made for next year" L&B's towing service" (couple of buddy's) that I have towed

Wow! Lots of good posts here.
I'm pretty new to the site and new to Yami too. Never really looked at Yamaha, but the new Vector/Rage got me looking. Not sure if I will be getting a new sled next year, but if I do, you can add me to the list of previous Cat owners that have swiched to Yamaha! 4-stroke just seems like the way to go. And why would you get a T660 ST that puts out 10 less horse power and weighs 50 pounds more than a Vector? Doesn't make sense to me.
I've never ridden a Yami, just wondering how the rear suspension is on the Rage/Warrior?
Thanks.
:D

Well I have been all polaris for 5 years now and I bought a 04 switchback this past fall rode it for the season and then sold it. Found a deal on a 03 Rx1 mountain and now own my first yammi. Have not been able to ride it much yet but so far the fit finish and over all quality of the sled is way better. The sled seems to be rock solid and who can complain about no more oil mixing / 2 stroke smell, and not having to pull on the old rope makes up for the engery spent on getting it unstuck because it weighs a hundred more pounds than the other sleds :) I love the exhaust sound too I get a little smile on my face every time I start it up !
