I'll tell you what I saw. Got mine this year, dealer had it set like yours ( mine is a 08 RTX leftover). When sled was lifted, the track sagged about 1.5". Your supposed to set the tension by having ( I think ) 20 lbs. hang from the center of the track and measure the distance.
Anyway, so I say "WTF" and set the tension so, when I put soem force on the center of the track, by hand, it hangs down @1".
Now, to get to your point, After my first 100 miles, my hyfax was worn down about half at the curve. Where you are saying. But, now I have jsut under 500 miles and the hyfax wear hasn't move much at all at that point. The new spot seems to be about 6" before the rear wheel. Which is where people usually put more wheels on.
So, from all this jibber jabber, I would say let it go, jsut keep an eye on it. Mine pretty much stopped wearing at that point after the first 100. From what I have read here, most people notice it wears a LOT at first then seems to really slow down how it wears.
