Well my local dealer got some bad news last week. Yamaha has axed them as a selling and service center. They came in and as of the 3rd they could no longer order parts. No real warning and kind of a poor reason. Wont go into details but they left customers hanging. I had parts on order and even they ended up getting cancelled. This was a top notch dealer for parts and service too. Always willing to help out whenever they could and not interested in bending you over like some dealers do. Thankfully do have another good dealer that's another 40 miles from me but will certainly miss my local dealer.

Local dealer went ahead and reordered the parts threw the other dealer so he's getting them for me anyways but no he's stuck with extra cost for the parts and extra freight that he said he will eat to get me the parts. Hopefully I can pick them up and at least save him a bit of freight. Meanwhile my sled is down for two weeks though unfortunatley.

AWE. You've bought parts there before haven't you? I know there's a few members on here that get parts there. They've been a dealer for about 10 years now.

You know the saying, nice guys finish last. Real world economics sometimes gets in the way of being nice and doing the right thing nowadays. I hope you make it right with them and pay them for their extra efforts.

They're the kind of dealer that wouldn't take any extra for going above and beyond. Unless there was a extreme cost. Like I said hopefully it works out so I can pick up the parts at the other dealer. My dealer won't make anything on the deal but hopefully we can work it so it doesn't cost them more. I'ld rather not say there full name and town as I'm not sure they'd like that spread on the net. I just wanted to vent a little bit. Hopefully they're not doing this to other dealers elsewhere.

holy crap

are you talking about awe in kinistino? I hope not I am waiting on warranty authorization...bought my sled new there last year

Would be good if all of there customers wrote to Yamaha and complained. Might not accomplish much but at least they might get the point that it wasn't the best of moves.

not complaining about the dealer standing up for a good one....Yamaha dropped them

They've still got some in their line up. I'm not really sure what will happen with them though. Any of the older ones that are still new I would imagine they had to buy them out by now. I know just before Christmas they had a new xtx nytro for just under 10,000. A steal of a deal for around here. Had a new vector as well i think that was non current.

Maybe they weren't paying the bills and getting to deep with Yamaha so they dropped them , I'm sure there's more to the story !
Are you going to answer the question or just keep blowing it off ?
What dealer , what town ?

I am sure Yamaha Canada had their reasons they are not going to dump a dealer that is upstanding as you put it. Your refusal to tell us who it is cast more doubt on the dealer than Yamaha. If they are a great dealer they would want their name out in the sledder world right? :sled1:
