Put a stud through front heat exchanger on the weekend. Going to have it tig welded this week. In order to make access easier, the welder is going to tip it on its side to access the crack on the bottom of the exchanger.
Do I need to drain engine oil prior to tipping it up, or will it be fine on its side for a while during the repair?

Just tip it to the oil tank side, so tank is below the engine.
