Do those who added foam or 05 seat need taller windshield?

I put an 05 seat on my 03 RX-1 mountain. I rode it for the first time this season this last weekend (due to low snow conditions). I felt like I was WAY up there while riding. The center of gravity was definately higher and tight turns on the trails were tougher than I remember.
One thing of concern to me is the absence of wind protection. I felt like I was riding my old Skidoo MXZX as far as wind protection was concerned (hence the name "Frostbite") I was looking WAY above the windscreen and the wind was hitting me like I have never felt on a Yamaha.
Have any of you who added an 05 seat or extra foam found it necessary to buy a taller windscreen to offset the higher riding positon?
If so, Is there a Yamaha or aftermarket shield that looks as good as it works?

the venture has a higher windshield if i recall. you can get Extra high windshiels from the yamaha website. I dont think they look as good. I figured most mountain riders kneeled with the knee on the seat and one foot on the floorboards.

if you do want protection, check the yamaha site. extra tall ones are available

Thanks. I'm kind of a cross condition rider. Yes I ride the mountains. I boondock and hill climb but I also ride the trails (especially when there isn't enough snow to safely get off the trails).
In fact, I know this is blasphamy for a mountain guy BUT I just love high speed trail riding (emphasis on very spirited). I guess it's the Minnesota boy coming out in me once in while

oh i love going high speed on the trails too. dont worry about it. Ill do anything to get to the deep stuff quicker
