Does anyone here pack a small shovel when riding? I really should b/c I ride alone most often. Where are you guys mounting or carrying your shovels? I have an 04 warrior and wondered if there was a preferred spot. Thanks for the ideas.....

always. In my backpack with my axe, saw, probe, extra gloves, food, water, gps, fire starting materials, flashlight, phone, emergency blanket, and assorted necessary items. I plan on staying the night in the woods, but as of yet have not had to.

I bungee the blade to the tunnel extension and the handle sits on two clips on the belt guard, saw is in the shovel handle. I don't like backpacks.

great feedback guys... I do carry the essentials like grapeape mentioned, but I am really anal about stuff and want to find a nice snug spot for this thing. The handle on the belt guard sounds like a great idea. If I cant find a spot where the blade can sit without scratching etc I may have to resort to the backpack. I just dont like the feeling of one.

I keep a small fold up type miltary shovel fitted into the nose of the sled. Yes it does fit in the tiny front compartment on an RX1.......just barely.

I carry a backpack. After a couple trips I am totally used to the backpack being on my back. I feel strange without it now.

after reading srxtwins you know maybe I should ask what kind of shovels you guys are using b/c I might be able to find a smaller one... so what are you using and where did you get it?
