Just wondering the thoughts on this topic. Searched but found nothing.

Also, does anyone know what the yamaha oil filter for a 120 Genesis equates to on the outside ie:fram, napa, k&n ect...

you don't need a special filter for syn., i use the k&n-204 for my attak and a k&n-147 for my phazer

I use a WIX 51365 since I am an AMSOIL dealer I get it through them. You do not need a special filter to use synthetics. You do however need one if you want to get the most life out of your oils. Amsoil markets special oil and air filters that are made out of synthetic nano-fibers. These fibers are much smaller then cellulose and capture more smaller particals with out restricting oil flow. However they currently do not offer one for the 120 as of yet. You can still go double the manufactures recommendation for draining your oil by using AMSOIL systhetics and since Yamha says you only need to change your filter every other oil change your set to go.
