DOO Extros

anyone know the part # for Doo extros that I can put on my apex MTN? need 3.0 pitch since I am not able to afford a different track...thx

Zak

I will be placing my order this week and will update everyone on the senario with part #s for 9T & 10T extro for 2.52 pitch. I am unaware of Doo having a 3.0, but will look into it. Doo also carries a 10T non-extro for any speed freaks worried about their drivers robbing HP. I'll throw this part# out there too.

No 3" pitch Doo extros out there. 2.52" and 2.86" is it.

Sorry for the delay fellas. My grandfather passed away this week and there has been no progress yet. I'll be investigating this on monday morn after the clouds pass. Thanks for your patience, Scott.

Hey guys, I can confirm that these can be ordered. I called two dealers here and they can both get them in. Never installed on the shaft. 66$ a piece

Negative ghost rider... That is inaccurate. They are discontinued by BRP as of like a year a a half ago. Only way to get the drivers is to by the dhole shaft with the drivers attached. Those dealers might think they can order it, but let them try -- BRP will send the order back and tell them the only option is to buy these drivers already attached to a shaft. Sorry about the bad news, but you cannot get them anymore..

:nos

I guess I'll have them try then

I typed in google search "skidoo part# 504152503"
and it came up with a bunch of websites selling the drivers by themselves, and just ordered from http://www.spicerspartsworld.com/pages/ ... 5621/35684
I called AMDS yesterday and the guy I talked to confirmed that the drivers are still for sale, 65 each from them but got mine from spicers for 52.24 each. now I dont know if they are going to call me up on monday when they resume business hours and tell me they cant ship to ak. but they did take my money for them.

Yep, that's what happened to me twice with 2 different online ski Doo dealers -- called me later and said could only get the extros already mounted to a shaft.

No more from Doo dealers. My local dealer messed up and wants me to pay for the shaft and drivers. I then gave gave him specific directions to a long term storage container, his arse!!! So I searched and found a couple used sets and will enjoy my previously enjoyed drivers. If the boiling water method doesn't work I try Rock's shimming technique. Shafts do measure the same. Or If I chicken our I may purchase an HD shaft. Sorry my reply on this took so long, but been way too busy lately. Thanks guys, Scott

I've never had a problem pushing them off one shaft on to another. Not sure where "shimming" or "boiling" them is needed. If they come off a shaft of the same size or smaller it will not be a problem.

That's just it, the Doo shaft IS larger than the Yami shaft.
(At least on my RX-1)

The Doo shaft is 1.110"
The Yammi shaft is 1.060"
A difference of .050"

The Doo drivers from the Doo shaft would simply FALL off the Yami shaft.
After shimming, they worked fine.
Not one issue ever with them.

New doo drivers without axle have to be pressed to yammie axle and they fit tight perfect. Used drivers are loose, like rockmeister explained.

Only if they were used on a larger shaft! If pressed from a Yamaha back to another Yamaha, its not a concern. I have a stockpile of drivers that have never been on a Ski-Doo shaft. They can be had without the shaft. get them from the race dept. or order off the sno-cross models. Just make sure you get the right pitch. They come 2.52 and 2.87, also different diameters. Decent Doo dealer should be able to steer you in the right direction.
