Getting my new 2010 Vector LTX GT set up for groomed trail riding. With no studs what should I use for carbides? Dooly or Deuce bars, 6" or 8"? I notice they now make a Slim Jim Dooly. Thanks for any advice!

I tried them all and the best for my driving style are DEUCE BAR 6" carbide on stock shimmed skis, I don't run studs and strickly ride GROOMED trails and really like them, they have BITE in corners and eliminate darting to 90% and they last forever...10.000kms and still going.

For a mass market manufacturer, Studboy does make a quality product. I had a set of Deuce bars on my Vector for several thousand kilometers and they were still in great shape, no chips or chunks fallen out either.
I wish they'd make Deuce bars for C&A skis.

What do you mean by "shimmed skis"?
I'm I going to have to shim something to get these on a vector?
Thanks!

You put a 1/4" shim under the rear side of the spindle.. This puts more pressure on the back of the ski. Helps the front glide over the ruts better.. All I know is "ALL" my riding buds liked my duece bars so much we all have them now. MM.
