SledWrecker
Extreme
I had Doolys on my RX1 and it completely eliminated the darting problems with that sled. The downside was they caused a lot of drag in the snow. Didn't notice it at speed but when taking off on ice or especialy crossing pavement or riding in late spring on dirt and gravel it was aweful. The worst part was hill climing you could feel the drag of the carbides.
Anyway. Now I'm working with stock Nytro skis and pretty much the same darting issues. Read and read in the forums about shimming and using different skis. I have the chance to pickup some "Woody's Slim Jim" dual runner carbides dirt cheap but I dont want to see the drag issues I saw with the full on Dooly's. Anyone with experience with the Slim Jims offer any advice? I am shimming the skis this weekend, was going to get the toilet shims from home depot since I dont have any old hifax's sitting around.
