DooPoo whining about Apex

I don't know if any of you caught the latest issue of Snow Week, but it looks like Doo and Poo are pulling support for their race drivers because the Apex is too powerful, and probably because of Corey Davidson also. These are the same morons (especially Doo) that say how heavy Yamaha's are, and that the power of a 2-stroke can't be matched by those high maintainance 4-strokes. If they don't race against an Apex, they can say they've never been beaten by one. Yeah, well my friends Yugo has never been beaten by a Lamborghini, either. DooPoo are shooting themselves in the foot IMO, and I'm sure the Cross Country racers that have been with them aren't too pleased. If Doo's gonna whine about the Apex, then they need to take back all of the crap in their anti Yamaha campains, but of course they won't. Wish I had the magazine in front of me so I could give you some quotes. I'm sure you'll be hearing about it. GO YAMAMHA!!! :4STroke:

Was one of my points. Not two months ago they were bashing the seating position and the new changes of the Yamaha saying they'll take a 600 Doo on the trails any day and blow it away. No heavy 4 stroke is going to keep up.

Now with Cross country which is the closest racing to regular trail riding / mogul mashing they enter the "heavy 4 stroke" and it's all whines. Wish they'd just think for once.

Who can blame them....they are loosing market share, and with Yami kicking their but....they will loose alot more! Get a snowcross Mach Z....what is the problem?

Loosing to who? Polaris yeah right! When is the last time Yamaha had the most market share? Selling $10,000 sleds wont help them either.

I think he meant losing customers. A poll a while ago showed that the majority of the people switching to Yamaha from other makes are Doo riders. Apparently you haven't looked at the price of Doo sleds. They have the most expensive 600 class sled (including yamaha) and the most expensive sled on the snow (mach and gade 1k).

Don't get me wrong if Yamaha went out of business I'd probably go with Doo, but denying that Yamaha is cutting into their customer base is assinine. Especially considering how hot and bothered they've been about this years Yammi's over on Doo talk.

Dave583, I thought you were buying a new Apex/Attack? If so, what's the problem? I've seen your posts on DooTalk and the way you talk over there, is you are buying a new doo.

It's not much different than Ford and GM's B.S. about Hemi's on Super speed-ways in the 70's.

Is the 150 fuelie the new "Hemi" of snowmobiles? :4STroke: :yam:

DOO sits at about 40% share while Yamaha is around 12%, no way can any manufacturer hold on to that kind of market dominence especially with the Yamaha changes in 06.
