I finally got my track swap done this weekend. The tech pages and a few searches were an amazing help to me. I also put all new bearings and seals in the chaincase and changed the jackshaft bearing. I tightend the chaincase side shafts first. I also started the sled and ran the track a few revolutions before I tightened the set screws on the clutch side drive shaft to reduce strain on the chaincase bearing. I managed to put 27 miles on it with no problems or leaks but we are about to lose the rest of our snow. The only thing that concerns me is the hex part of the driveshaft seems to be pretty close to the chaincase seal. I am afraid if it slightly shifts it will take out the seal. I am probably overthinking this, but I am going to MI in 2 weeks and really don't want any problems. As always, thanks in advanced!!!!!

In this section view it looks pretty close if that makes you feel any better.

That does make me feel better. My wife and my friends say I should just ride it and quit worrying about it they are probably right.

Just replaced my track and installed new driveshaft with extrovert drivers. The inner metal seal sits maybe a 1/16" from the hex part of the shaft. Sounds like you got it right to me.

Thanks for the info. I think it will be fine. The collar for the bearing on the clutch side has about 1/16" space between it and the drive shaft collar. It made the most sense to me to run the track a few revs before tightening the set screws on the clutch side bearing.
