Hello members I would most certainly like to know if you guys' noticed that the 2 outside drivers on the front axle have moved toward the tunnel? Well I have a VK that has been giving me greif on everything. Recently the left drive bearing failed, completely exploded. I noticed that the drive sprocket was right up against this and the drive melted from the heat of bearing failure.Ok gets better, talked to a Yammi mech. and he said these VK's are prone for this,great!So now to get the bearing on properly I have to get this sprocket over without taking the skid out and tearing apart the chaincase!!Wondered why when I tried to get the drain plug for the chaincase out that there was no room to get the fingers in there.This is why. Any body have an idea?Another great engineering fault.

The sprockets are usually pressed on, so I think you will have to remove the shaft to get it to move without damaging other parts on the sled.

Well I'll tell you what i found! Before replacing the bearing on the left side I took a deep socket and a long bolt (metric) and used this as a pusher. Pushed that sprocket over to where it should be without all the bull to remove the drive,way too much work.installed new bearing and will clamp the driver with a clamp to hold it in place,maybe! Both sides waled over to the outside for some reason. You have too do what you got to do to get by!! It's all not easy sometimes but got to use your pumpkin sometimes....
