I know this sounds stupid but could someone explain driver pitch. I am changing tracks and going to the extrovert drivers. I have gotten a lot of advice about changing the track and changing the pitch of my drivers. I just don't know what the hell it means....
The pitch is how much distance it is between rows in the track. Your drivers must be the same pitch as the track your using. Most common is 2.52" Yamaha and older sleds . Now skidoo and cat have switched to 2.86" which has more distance and hooks little harder in loose snow. Mountain sleds and newer crossover sleds typically use a 3.0" pitch which again makes them even better in the powder and with less rows they are lighter.
