I was wondering the same thing, If I put in new driveshafts in my 05 RX1 and 06 Attak if the updated 09 shafts will work

'09 nor '10 will NOT fit on '03 to '08, '09 won't fit on '10 either..., '09 & '10 are LONGER due to extra bearing in chaincase and '10 has same bearing set-up as '09 but LARGER diameter shaft...so I think YAM knows that they have a WEAKNESS at that level of the drive system!

DOES ANYONE KNOW THE COST IN LABOR TO CHANGE A FRONT DRIVE SHAFT AT THE DEALER? I REALIZE THAT THERE ARE DIFFERENT LABOR RATE SO WHAT IT THE BOOK TIME?

Mine broke at about 5,000 miles, last half of those were studded miles. Broke between chaincase and driver. Remember, lose your shaft, lose your brakes. If mine would have broke two miles earlier, I probably wouldn't be in any shape to be typing this right now. I'd change it.
