dry weight 04 warrior vs 06 attack

I was looking through the owners manual for each sled comparing the specifications. There are a few minor differences but what really shocked me is the dry weight numbers.....04 warrior 581 lbs 06 attack 593 lbs :shock: :shock: 12 lbs heavier then the warrior...am i missing something here?? maybe i am reading the model numbers wrong (i hope so)...did they lie about the 04 weight?....does anyone have the dry weight of the 05 warrior? I was expecting the attack to weigh less.... :o|

The web site has it listed at 575 lbs....do they even know!!!!!!
 

That can't be correct. The 04 didn't have any magnesium or Titanium parts , no carbs and the pro-action skid is 12 pounds heavier by itself :ORC
 
Well i have to agree that our owners manual states 593 and the yamaha site lists it at 575 dry,now i dont know why yammi dosent exsplain there 593 weight as delivered ready to go weight,as that is what it really is,add 1.7 gal. of coolant,4 qts. oil,shock oil,and all related fluids and its almost 22lbs add that to the oficial dry weight of 575 now its much closer to what we have in order to start and run this beast :pics: ;)! have a nice day... ya its heavier than my confusion,but it is 8" longer has skinnier ski is easier to get into and out of my trailer and all of this comes w/electric start,and it dont smoke me out warming up inside my trailer :D and no vibration lol and its faster just sitting there lol... ;)! :rocks:
 
I think Yamaha may have been 'optimistic' (nice way of putting it dont you think?) up until 06 on the 136.
Now they dont have to try and somehow make the weight look acceptable because the 06 sleds are right in there with the big power 2 strokes.
 
Yamaha is trying to be more conservitive now.. back in 03-05 they lied about the weight to sell sleds.. Now in 06 they are being closer to the truth!

I know they weighted the 04 warrior in a mag at 608lbs with oil and 1 gal of gas!
 
Actuall weight of the Rx-1 is with 4 gallons of gas at most on

03 665 lbs
04 645 lbs

I did this weighj in my self in 04 my stock 03 and a friends 04 on race scales calibrated the truth to be known thats why i got the boss seat LW exhaust so far i need to do others also like LW battery some brackets and i need to lose about 40lbs lol
