You would have to agree that if any of you tried the
Woodys dual carbide you noticed a push when turning !
Well its not a push your feeling its a delay !
The delay is caused by the snow build up in the channel
( Between both carbide ) which has to clean itself before its starts to cut though the corner.
This causes the delay we feel which we think as a push.
As you turn the sled harder the dual carbide will cut as
hard or harder than any other carbide set up.
The best benfit of dual carbide which we all like is tracking
straight with no darting or side to side movement whatsoever !
How do we get rid of the delay? Stud boy improved on this by
having the carbide next to each other, with no deep channel
like the woodys.
Based on watching a freind ride with 4 1/2" Stud boys
duals on his RX1 they do work better. No delay and no push !
Good for them getting this figured out.
They may still dart a small amount but very acceptable.

Randy I am with you 100% on this. I tried the Bergstrom triples with the ski saver and it did not work for me. It was worse that stock. The 4 inch doolies cured 90% of my darting. As far as pushing, I would trade that off for a shed that tracks straight any day.

I use the Bergstrom triples with the ski saver and they work great for me, no darting or pushing, it may just be due to the set up.
I've been thinking alot about the action or "delayed reaction" of the woody's doolys and I can't help but think that the dual carbide is taking all the wieght and not allowing the skis keel to bite in. This may be why it is actually reducing darting (more dispersed ski pressure) and not getting as much side cut (less area) for turning. Possibly why the stud boy is turning better, more side cut. The edges on the stud boy are square not beveled.It's the side pressure o the keel that turns the sled. This is what gives Simmons a huge advantage, two keels for twice the area. Or maybe not... lol. I'm thinking about going to Simmons after this season

I've switch from Woody Dually to Stud Boy Deuce and very satisfied...no more pushing but a very small amount of darting...acceptable.
One thing I've tried is to toe-in my alignement to 0"-1/8" out,it seems to help the darting w/Deuce's

It sounds like the duellies work ok on the new sleds. I put new 6"carbides on my attak and the steering is positive but very heavy. I have used duel carbides on my 700 in the past and liked them a lot. I was thinking about putting them on this sled but didnt want to mess up the handeling.

The minimal push my sled has with the Duallys is much preferable to the SCARY darting I had with 8" carbides. I was very happy with the switch.
