So I have the Pilot 5.7 's on the Apex Gt. I am putting a set of the stud-boy deuce bars on them. My question is.. Do they rest on the outside of the ski... Or do I tighten them so much that the bar goes into the Ski.. Anyone have this set-up? It looks like the whole bar can wedge in there...Not sure if I'm damaging the Ski by doing this as the front part is already in da hole...

Yes, it goes down in a ways. Tighten front and then rear a little at a time and the bar will go down. However do not over tighten as the mounting bolt may break!
Pilot skis on a Yamaha is like adding power steering.....without the expense!! Good luck

I didn't think Studboy made a Deuce bar for Skidoo Pilots. I just checked their website and is says N/A.

Used pilots are a pain to put on new carbides. Trim or clean the slot out a little so it will seat in the groove. Was easier for me to remove ski from the sled.
