Has anyone tried this product? I can only find one thread mentioning it and no reviews yet.

I tried a different style of rod to try and repair all 3 mounting tabs on my rad, I don't know what I was doing wrong but it didn't work for me, I'm sure in the hands of a skilled professional they do the trick tho

It sure looks like a great product but I also couldn't get it to work and I have been welding, soldering and silver soldering all my life. Maybe the durafix brand is easier to use than the stuff I had.

I tried the durafix to patch a hole in a heat exchanger.
I just could not get it to work.
I think if i could have got a steel plate on the back side of the hole i could have made it work but what was happening was as i got the rod to its melting point it would just drip into the open hole.
I fould it incredibly difficult to maintain a controled heat and because of that was just melting everything and making a mess
