I need a Tie Rod,Joint L/H outer,Front Bumper. All on Ebay is close to buying new. Plus I will get them from dealer by next Fri. were Ebay may take longer. It usually does. Were are these guys coming from? Enlighten me if I'm missing something.
Here is what I've found.

Ebay 1 Front bumper @ buy it now $100 +11 shipping. I can get new for $116.

Ebay Tie Rod with joints....$50 + shipping..I can get new $30 Joint + $ 25 Tie Rod
No shipping of course from Dealer

OH ....The bumper broke because I lifted the sled with a Cumberlong which I"ve always done. Turns out one of the bolts had fallen out on one side and stressed the other side so it snapped being plastic. It was inside and warm. So check your bolts. They made a change to the numbers for the bolts so maybe they loctited them. Bad start to New Year.

Try cheapcycleparts.com. They are about 30% to 40% less then the dealer. Look your part numbers up on the yamaha web sit then order them on line (you can call them). Most of the time it's about $12.00 to $13.00 shipping. They have parts for all makes and models. They do have a parts look up just not for snowmobiles.

i dont understand your point about ebay. if a private seller wants to sell used parts for twice the price of new than they can. wether someone buys it or not is another issue.

Speedjunky thanks I'll try them. I did order the parts from Yami. $106 new bumper with no shipping vs EBay $100 plus shipping
Woolyviper...My point was who would be stupid enough to pay those prices so why try to sell them for that much and loose listing fees, etc. tie up money, etc. but I understand were your coming from. This guy also may not know he's priceing himself out of the market.
The Tie Rods weren't bad but I didn't need the inboard one so to spend 20clams more for a new setup I needed and get it here fast was worth it to me. I think I got shocked that there wasn't as many parts on Ebay for the Apex. Newer sleds I guess.
But I forgot what PT Barnum said ..."There is a Sucker Born every Minute". So ride on..Ebay.

people do pay a premium on ebay if they aren't smart or resourceful. i have sold parts on ebay and then scratched my head about why they paid so much - i sold a green chrome AC windshield once for close to $200 - i bought it out of the clearance bin for $39 and my son had it on his sled for 3 months...

fucious once said......

"It's only worth what someone is willing to pay", if people are dumb enough to pay those prices then then cheers to the guy willing to sell them to them for those prices.....it's the American way!
I agree the guy is not real ethical for wanting so much but ebay is a scoundrels playground!

there are several guys on here parting sleds always try them first
