PureBlue- Do you know of any ice racers that have tried the "vibration dampener" that has been discussed on some of the forums. Seems it might work to take away some of the ski chatter on a longer ice race?

I have'ant heard of any yet. I been looking on goggle at differ'ant ones for bikes, i'd buy a set if i could find some, like the ones on that yamaha apex video with Cris Reed. I too think it would work for ice racing

Big lake has some amazing racing and they race everything out there even cars. Very cool. Located just outside of Anchorage.

We used to have a small ice racing series here in Fbks that I raced a quad in it was a blast. Unfortunately it sort of petered out due to lack of interest.

rupprider....i ordered two dampers off a honda civic, we'll see if these work lol might try them on my can-am commander too

How much did they run you, if you don't mind me asking?
These cost $150.00 x 2, $314.00 shipped, there ajustable too. There was other cheeper ones around $50.00 each, i like the looks of these, there proubly all the same lol these are a engine damper, but do the same thing. I was looking for some off a toyota xrs witch yamaha makes for toyota and ran across these. These are the size i need, about 7" long, the toyota ones i'd have to cut to make work.

Thanks! Keep us posted on how it all works out. Never hurts to think outside the box once in a while! Good Luck!

This one here is a differant style that goes on a atv, might work on a snowmobile, upper handlebar center or lower mount with remote handlebar ajustter

Wow! I never saw one of those handle bar apps yet. Looks like users of these dampeners will be in the Wright Brothers phase, unless a powerful virtual simulator is available to accurately test different uses.

Been out testing, Kris says he likes it.......Eichenberg Racing, FaceBook.......

Use the Scott damper on street and dirt bike and they Have a used oe style skid plate for sale if interested. Very good shape, no damage. $20 plus shipping. work awesome for settling switching and head shake. Not as much for pure bar vibration from engine harmonics.
