Hey guys,

I have a 09 nytro that I removed the motor for my turbo build. I had some belt issues last year which was caused by a tweaked sub frame. Is there an engine alignment tool? I measured the spacing of the three engine mounts but since my frame was tweaked, I'm a bit worried of the measurements.

Thanks in advance!!

Any dealership can get you the alignment tools however I think your wasting your time if the sub frame is bent. You can get away with things like that N\A sometimes. You should replace the sub-frame if its bent enough to cause mis-alignment as with a turbo they are harder on belts and trying to band aid a bigger issue will do nothing but cause problems down the road.

Thanks wildman, I just purchased a new subframe and installed grizztracks gussets. I've been going through the service manual and can't seem to find anything.

there is no adjustment on the nytro for engine alignment, put in the long back motor mount and your engine will only have one adjustable colar that needs to be turned out against your engine if it was moved from original position. once this bolt is in and tight your engine is basicly not adjustable. your front colars will be adjusted according to your subframe width. Talking with many ppl last year about this exact question the best answer i got was that you need to shim the back of your secondary clucth to have 16mm offset from the back shive primary to back shive secondary. you can do this with a straight edge. I dont beleive you can even buy an alignment tool for the nytro. Hope this helps but also you should fix the bent subframe issue while your there.

Thank you for the response. That helped me out a ton! Just waiting for the paint to dry on my new subframe (installed gussets) and I will give it a shot.
