It is called a one way bearing and it is in your wet clutch. I just replaced mine and intalled a epi clutch kit at the same time. You will have to drain oil and remove crankcase cover to get to this wet clutch and bearing is right there. Mine was doing the same thing so I had already ordered clutch kit Mr sleds right regreasing primary will help also. but check that bearing. will need a new gasket for cover.

I put the oversize tire kit in mine even though I am still running 25 inch ITP m/s 589's and I do see a noticable difference. I am a big guy waying close to 380 lbs 6'6" tall and I pulled my first wheely in low. Scared me a little. wasnt expecting it. It is really simple job to change bearing you dont even have to pull wet clutch off unless you are changing springs on back side of clutch for kit. Then the only pain in the *#& is the nut that holds the wet clutch on has a detent on one side that will have to be straightened to remove. and you will have to be really careful with threads could get costly if not careful. You will need a clutch holding tool for the wet clutch because you will have to tork nut when putting back on. Rocky mountain atv sell one. or just make one like I did. if you plan on replacing bearing only then you dont have to mess with taking nut off just remove the housing cover and bearing is right there just make sure it goes on the right way. There are arrows etc.

I am running the Highlifter kit, same as EPI and I love it. Best mod I have ever done to the grizz besides adding my 27" 589's.
I agree, it is your 1 way clutch bearing. Have you fixed it yet?.........Irv
