08 phazer Rtx 136"
hi the other day I was out on the trail and my 08 phazer rtx just quit and started displaying error code 46. It acts like the battery is dead but it is not. (12.6 volts) I have checked all the fuses and that's all good. The dash and fuel pump work fine but when I crank it over it seems like that battery is dead.... Any help?

Thanks but Is it simply a voltage regulator? A voltage reg. Doesn't explain the quitting on the trail.

sounds like a burnt stator. start the engine and see if your getting about 14v at the battery leads.

unlikely the vol regulator those things r pretty damn reliable, and you would likely be burning fuses if it went bad

Thats what I figured and tried boosting the sled and swapping battery and the sled won't start. If I try and crank it over the dash goes dead and does weird things... Oil light. Different error codes ect. Nothing consistent tho

Also check the grounding block on the main wire harness just next to the oil tank. square looking thing, might be wrapped with electrical tape. theres a fuse in it, might be burnt

it has yellow plastic on it

There is no fuse in the yellow grounding block but it might be melted inside, that happens occasionally. It is worth adding the updated grounding harness either way.

I had to do the updated grounding harness on my 07 I thought 08s had that already installed?

My brothers 08 didn't have it and it left him stranded.
OK I will get the dealer to check that. Because the symptoms are similar to my 07 wiring problems. Is there a way I can check?

If you look at the negative terminal on the battery there should be multiple separate wires connected there, I think three. If there is only the main wire then you don't have the kit.

If you post a picture of the battery connections I can probably tell.
