I tried to do a search but apparently don't know how. Maybe age has something to do with it? Anyway, as of today our local gas stations have gas with 10% or less ethanol. I heard that the gas will not store well. Is there an additive other than stabil to correct this if it is a problem?
When spring comes what is the proper way to store for the season?
Should this fuel run ok in a 2005 rage and also a 2004 warroir.
Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks Combat

Been using it for years here in the Midwest. No problems in any of my 2-srokes and is all we can get for the 4-stroke (87 octane). AS far as storage , I use nothing but Seafoam. Keeps carbs clean and conditions your fuel. Kept my Viper in the UP for 2 winters and always dumped a can in a full tank of fuel when we would leave. Do the same thing with my Attak. ALL of my gasoline powered items including my Dodge Ram and Chevrolet Suburban get treated with it. Good stuff! As far as the 10% ethanol, I wouldn't worry about it at all.

I have a memo from one of the marine powertrain companies. That state that fuels containing 10% or more of ethanol go stale after about two weeks. It absorbs moisture. I found this website full of additives.
www.kleenflo.com Any product containing Isopropyl will maintain the properties of your fuel.

Dave And Dooman: Thanks for the info. Just what I needed. We have a product here called stabil. I have used it for years to store my sleds, mowers, etc. I'll read the label, I'm pretty sure it is like Seafoam in what it does. I'm riding sunday so I'll see if performance is any different. I can't notice a difference in my Tahoe.
I do use isopropel dry gas when it gets really cold to prevent gas line freeze up.Never had a problem.

Seafoam out performs Stabil in storing fuel. It also conditions and cleans your fuel systam. Stabil does not. I worked in a commercial small engine shop part time for 13 yrs. Saw MANY mowers, trimmers and other small gas engines come in stored with Stabil. Many times just draining the fuel and adding fresh fuel with Seafoam would allow us to get them running. I own no stock in this product, but only add this to help you in your decision. My experience, Stabil doesn't do everything that Seafom does. I won't use anything else.

Your Tahoe, wether you've noticed it or not is not getting the same fuel mileage it used to...unless it's "FlexFuel" equipped. NGK has actually been coaching many shops to install cooler plugs to combat the hotter burning fuel to bring back fuel economy.
As for seafoam it is primarily made of Isopropyl, read the MSDS Sheet it will tell you so. It has a very high IPA content.
Use #400 KF MAX from Kleen-flo it contains IPA, as well as a Lubricant (K2) to help with the extra alcohol content, it also improves the quality of the fuel to burn thoroughly.
Stabil is a good fuel stabilizer.

Viper Dave: Thanks again for the input. Earlier today I found Seafoam in one of the automobile stores. Read the label and bought 2 cans. Filling the tanks tomorrow so I put about 8 oz. in each sled. I'll see how things go.
One is an 05 rage , the other is an 04 Warrior that my daughter just purchased. First time out with it. Both of us can't wait.
I like the idea that Seafoam Actually cleans the carbs etc. I've heard that the small holes in the Yamaha carbs can clog easily. This sound like a good preventative measure.
Thanks again to all of you. Totally Yamaha is one great site for assistance.
