Excell Full Exhaust w/ Drag n Fly

Question to those who are running the Drag n Fly clutch with the Excell full exhaust, are you running turks recommended setup or did you have to add more weight? If so how much did you add and where? I'm going to install the exhaust system tomo and I already have the drag n fly installed and working fine with turks recommended setup. I'm not clutch expert nor will I ever be so forgive me if I sound like I have no clue what im talking about. If no one is running this setup, if I prop the track and full throttle it and it hits the rev limiter, where do I add the weights to bring it down and how much weight should I poke at it with?

You can't tell on the stand, you need to test it on snow, and snow conditions always change, so it's an ongoing battle. :o| What works today might not work tomorrow. Good Luck

Also interested in this. Was getting ready to pm turk but did some last minute searching and saw this thread. So, with the Vector header and Yoshi are the weights still the same/good starting point?
 
I have Turks setup on my XTX worked great. Then added Excell header and rpms went up 400 so I added weight to the tip. I haven't really had an opportunity to test if the weight is right yet. Bottom line is when you do a mod that makes HP you will need to add weight. And Maniac is right you can't test on a stand, you have to run it on the snow to see what the shift is. Excell recommends 9000 for his exhaust.
 
Can someone share Turks setup? I just bought an 09 XTX with an ulmer kit and Ultra Q silencer and want the best setup possible!

Yes Rayman, 9000 shift rpms. Where the tach settles at WOT. Keep in mind it won't be prefect, conditions and the tach jumping around, but your approx. goal is 9000 Rpms.

And Snowmaaan, Turks setup is with Drag n Fly's not Ulmers kit. If you are going with Ulmers do what he tells you.

ulmers comes from him loaded for the specific setup so unless other changes were made to the sled...its already there
