Ice on top of snow where you crunch through it can be a problem. Other than that road riding is pretty good for me.

That jumping around that is being described can happen with the stock skis too. I think it is a factor of alignment, front ski pressure and without doubt the sway bar and straight rate spring upgrade. This is, of course, for an '03. With the original front suspension any darting turned into a scary side-to-side jumping of the machine as it leaned to one side, had the ski bite and then jump to the other side and repeat back and forth. The first ride I had on my '03 was scary. Getting it set right for your weight is crucial, especially if you are light. I am running the precision skis on mine. They are great in groomed trails unless you're following a bunch of doos or have lots of loose powder, then they push. Also getting your mid shock preload and transfer set so that you are not ski light under mild acceleration helps with the pushing.
