Does any one know how much the exhaust covers are from Yamaha? While polishing my tunnel the wind blew one of them across my driveway and scratched it to hell. Also, can you buy just one or do you have to buy the pair? thanks, Mark

Mark,

I couldn't find the price but I did find the part numbers (looks like you can buy separate). The left side is PN: 8FA-77551-00-00, insulated lining on back is PN: 8FA-77261-00-00, the right side is PN: 8FA-77552-00-00, insulated lining is PN: 8FA-77262-00-00. I found them in Yamahas online part catalog in the bumper section. Just a FYI though, the Carbon fiber ones that came stock on the LE models in '03 are listed as an accessory (PN: SMA-8FA14-00-CF) at $69.95 for the pair.

I forgot to mention; for a great price contact Kevin (Port-Parts) on here. He is the parts manager for Port Yamaha in Port Washington WI. Tough to beat his prices. I just recieved my Red Chrome windshield from him on Fri. and I'm going to order a Yamaha Fleece Jacket from him.

Jim ,thanks for the reply.I called my local Yamaha Dealer today,and was shocked at the price. $118.00 for just one. yet i can buy the carbon fiber look alikes from Yamaha for $69.00 for the pair.That makes no sense. Any ways ,im gonna try to paint them gloss-black.if they come out horibble looking then ill look Kevin up at Port Yamaha.(Hey kev if you read this will you give me a price on the factory exhaust cover left side .thanks) Again thanks for the reply Jim. Mark.

I could always chrome them for ya.................Cubby

Thanks for the offer Cubby,but i know once i start chroming i wont be able to stop.im a recovering chrome-a-holic. My Harley was "all done up" i even chromed out a show truck that i recently sold. I think im gonna just spend the $$$ and buy a new one as the paint job i did yesterday just doesnt cut it. i would be interested in chroming the exhuast tips ,as they are always all sooty and chrome ones will wipe clean.let me know if you can do the tips. Thanks. Mark

I have a pair of the stock covers off my 05 RX1, they are perfect, I replaced them with carbon fiber ones.
I'll sell them cheap if you're interested, and they have the decals already on them, if you ordered new ones you get no stickers, as Im sure you already know.
let me know.
