I'm going to replace my donuts going to copper ones. I'd like my exhaust stock I'm not interested in being loud at all I'm a trail rider and don't want to be bugged by Johnny Law, but if there's a header that is aftermarket and adds a little power exits out the stock muffler I may be interested. Thoughts on this

Check out Excell's headers. (Site sponsor) I think there is a small gain to be had on an Apex.

Adding a performance header will not gain you much unless you do a complete system starting with the airbox and ending at the exhaust tip.

I think Ulmer racing was offering one. Best would be to talk to Allen. Would likely be an expensive couple HP though, plus you would end up with stainless instead of Titanium, probably a good thing in the long run!

I broke the stock headers around 5k miles they put in different ones thank you YES warrenty. just looking to get a little more hp doesn't sound like its worth it. I plan on doing ulmer air box mod and I did pick up a pcV and ignition mod not installed yet plan on rounding up everything for summer its time to update the old tank:-o

Who's program is in the PC-V and ignition box?

I have not verified this yet. I have to figure that out not sure if you can do that if unit is not hooked up to sled

Allan will have it programed for what you're doing and it would be plug and play. I had the same set up on my 07 Attak with out the exhaust. It made a very noticeable difference in throttle response and was quicker!

I don't have this mod but it does look intriquing. I believe it is least expensive option to get different sounds and save weight...other than modifying yourself.

I'd like to keep stock noise level don't want trouble with law was my thought if I can just get a few more ponnies and keep the noise at stock
