Okay, I have my Crossover track. It's a 144" X 1.5" Clipped every third all windows open. ( Pace three ) Will I get into trouble if I run my extroverts with this track without clipping all the other windows and 7-10 lbs of boost. I won't be running any studs, so that added stress will not be a factor. I'd just hate to spend a couple hundred bucks on clips. WTF.

If I have to , I have to. I just thought I'd ask and see what responses I'd get.

-Thanks.

I do run extro verts on all my sleds with attac20 tracks and all them are clipped every 3.

And you have no problems with the S/C or Turbo hp hurting the tracks at all?
Rich had told me he runs extrovert with his clipped every third track, but I was afraid I may damage the track or the drivers with the 7-10lbs of boost.

I don't make much mileage on my boosted sleds...

and I use wahl anti slip drivers. Last winter, did about 500km on a set of these and they are still good for another season.

BTW: The apex stock drivers only lasted 500 km and they were toast.

Those are what I have. I baught the Wahl's. I liked them because because they drive both the inside lugs and through the windows. I average 3000 miles a season or so. Hopefully they last. I counted the windows on my track and I only need 76 clips. It's about 120 bucks which is better than what I thought.

Will the full clip make the extroverts last longer or shorten their life span?

PM RxFern and ask him how his Ripsaw held up last year after I cut the windows. i think he put a few thousand K's on without any trouble. I didn't clip his after it was cut. I asked Allen his opinion on this at the time and (IIRC) he didn't think it was necessary either.

I did not clip my track because of added rotational mass which is bad for mountain riding.
