Service Manual
Thanks for the Vector service manual part number. It did seem like there was a lack of information in my neck of the woods for this model year. The big, new "state of the art" Yamaha dealer's showroom in Lansing that I drive by on the way home from work didn't even have sales brochures on the new '05's, let alone service manuals or accessory catalogs. I seemed to know more about the '05 highlights than the salesman did, just from reading the sledding magazines. I had to tell him that you could get an ER model in a color other than red. They made it too tough to buy one from them, so I had to buy out of town. Still didn't have any luck with the service manual though. Could have saved me that 1 1/2 hour trip back for warranty work.

I called my dealer and gave them the part #'s and they are invalid for Canada.
They are giving Yamaha a call right now to see if they can be crossed over to something in Canada (although they called them last week and were told no 05 manuals are available yet).
I'll probably be ordering them from you. Can you ship USPS? If I use UPS or any of the major couriers they tack on a huge brokerage fee (often as much as the price of the parts - but in Cdn $).

Thanks buddy, but I found it. Apparently I was smart enough (for once) to keep a copy on my HDD. An adavantage to my job is I can print it off on a 80 PPM printer for nothing and have a paper copy tooRobX-1 said:Mighty, I can help you with that. My dealer got back to me. No 05 RX-1 manuals are available yet in Canada.
I also asked about a stiffer rear spring and you guessed it - nothing available yet (although for the spring they at least have part #s).
