I know that the 23 top gear works great. The rx-1 guys seam to think that it looses top end with a 23 even though they are geared taller internaly. I have a 23 top in now but I also have a 39 tooth bottom. I do a lot of lake racing but have not had a chance to do any back to back testing. For a lake sled running 1000" to 2000" on ice and snow do you guys think I would be better off with a 24/39? I know that in a short run like 1000" a 22 may be best but I do not want to screw around with it all season. I am thinking of the best overall set up for my application.

I also have a 1" track so o-50 traction may be a little lacking but not much. I have 144 1.18 studs
