Long story short,I was very disappointed in the ride on this sled no snow at home to tune so in 3 trips to tug hill the sled does pretty darn good. With al the tips on TY I've got every thing working on this sled. Never had the wet foot syd. I put prefilters on before I got a chance to ride must have worked. Pilot skiis installed in oct. shims yam rubber work as good as the simmons I've been runnin the last 4 yrs and probly alittle better.Ran the floats on the apex loved them not on this sled. Drpped air pres. to 48# and ride is as good as it's going to get till revalve, they do handle the rough high speed stuff with out botttoming though still to harsh. Susp. my weight is 200#,this is where I'm at 2 holes down on front strap 2 holes down on rear strap . Center shock full soft on compr. rebound med. or little less (stiffer) .Rear shock full soft comp. rebound 3 or 4 clicks from bottom or full stiff no bounce. Center spring 1 thead showing, rear sprs. set to hard. 170 mls yesterday on the hill and it's the first time I got of the sled smiling and the other 5 guys were wondering what happened to this sled I been riding in the back struggling. Sled lands flat now and instills confidence .Am I done tinkering no. is it the fastest thing on the hill no is it the best big bump sled no but I'm really starting to like this sled.don't give up on yours get it right and you'll enjoy yours to. I also have ulmers stage 2 kit ,10's .the gearing also helped got solid 15 mls per gal. One thing I did for get was I epoxyed two rubber spacers on the rear transfer blocks they took out some tansfer and helped the coupling 1/4 inch thick. hope this helps the guys that are still stuggling. :o|

Holy Crap ! makes my head spin that they got it so wrong out of the box.

great report !! I

have my eye on a 09 and i suspect all these adjusments go out the window with changes coming from the factory...Have to start all over again!!

THANKS MAN, I LIVE ON THE HILL, AND HAVE NOT BEEN HAPPY AT ALL WITH THEW RIDE. GOING TO START WHERE YOUR AT,AND GO FROM THERE.. MY WEIGHT IS JUST ABOUT 230# SHOULD I SET IT UP ANY DIFF. ??????

I'd start where I'm at and you can always go stiffer on comp. if bottoming alot. Rebound is very important to suck up the bumps not bounce off them. Now that I'm close I'm going to try letting the rear trvel out for full stroke. but I don't think you can do that unless u use diff. coupling blocks or modifiy stock similar to what I did to make all work together. Sled really has great potential its just getting there thats a pain, the reward is worth it though.

Preload on center shock

dburu2,

Noticed your preload is one thread showing - isn't that outside of the specs in the Manual (81.4 mm measurement from bottom bolt to the spring base ring)?

Will having the spring that soft/loose cause damage to the shock?
