First blown Nytro belt?

I burned my belt maybe 150 miles ago. I blew a corner and slid of the trail in really wet snow. I freed the skis and went to go and instead of forward movement I got smoke. I eventually used reverse and got the packed snow in the track loosened up but could feel a very slight vibration after that from the hourglass I put in the belt. I did a similar thing last Febuary on my Vector.

I also blew a belt at just over 700 miles(today), top layer peeled off. I sure hope this isnt gonna be an issue like my fusion was.I wonder if its a heat problem?? Anychance yamaha will warranty this?

Blew my second belt today. WFO climbing and it started making a weird noise so I stopped and popped the panels and had cord popping out the side in two spots. Just a little over 900 miles on the sled. Probably from accidentally riding with the parking brake on a couple times, lol

Are your sheaves grooved at all?

my 1st belt blew with 1600 kms on it. completely blew to smithereens, longest piece was maybe 6" long. frayed cord everywhere. trying to peel spare belt out of the ice encrusted carrying case was a joke @ -20C. I will be installing the spare belt clip on top of the clutch cover. I'm currently running the old style 8DN. we'll see if it lasts any longer.
