First Ride GT Comments and Questions

I would adjust your controll rod first and if you are not happy with that I would start with one hole at a time on your limiter straps ;)!

IT wont take long to get used to the engine braking..

Wait till you get alot more snow before toying with the sled.. I weigh more than you and think they rear suspension is perfect! and steering great! (ive got more snow than you)

I dont think the sled will outhandle your viper on smooth very windy trails.. but when it gets rough.. it will definilty out handle it!

Knowing that the 1998 SRX sleds on smooth trails can probably out manuever the Viper, you think that the GT will be out manuevered by the Viper or other comparable 2 strokes on smooth twisty's? I run alot of smooth twisty fast trails in Northern WI and the UP. Kinda gets me nervous if I am going to be the back of the pack now compared to my 2 stroke buddies. I have always led them with my Viper. Just curious if there is anything i can do to make it run tighter on smooth twisty trails. i have 8 inch carbides and 144 studs center and outer belts.

mmsnowbeast- thanks for the feedback. What effect would the limiter strap have on ski lift/weight trasfer? This is my first yami, and I'm still trying to figure out how everything in the skid works together. Thanks
I think the limiter strap adjustment would be my last adjustment, first adjust the transfer rod according to the manual,or the card that was in your trunk,if you have to much ski lift adjust some of your transfer out,by turning the knob inward cw direction toward rear of sled, this will add ski pressure and let your rear ens break free of traction, you will spin more but that is the idea,to have the front bite more, but you have the shorty dont you,you can also get some more front end bite by preloading your rear spring and even stiffening up the shock rebound, just play around w/things,but make notes so you dont repeat to many things.. :rocks:
