Hey I have a question. We got a few inches of snow this morning and I took out my 04 Warrior for the 1st time. After riding for about 20 mins I started noticing a burning rubber smell. I couldn't tell if it was the belt or the brake. I was doing a lot of stop and go driving since I have to keep going back and forth in a small field. Saying this I never used the brake and the parking brake wasn't on. This is the first time I have been on a snowmobile in a long time so I am not sure if this is normal or not. Ideas?

Oh and other then that I LOVE the machine. MUCH more powerful then the old Ski Doo 400 free air I used to drive. Can't wait to get on the trail with it.

Its probally your belt , replace and wait for more snow. ;)!

Check the secondary clutch, the spring might be set to tight. Its should be set at 6 and 1. If your not used to making this adjustment just check the tech pages as there is info in there. Also, make sure your using a Yamaha belt, not an aftermarket. It could also be the hyfax getting hot, thats the black plastic wear strips between the track and rear suspension. You could also wait for more snow and try it again. ===SRXSRULE===
