i just got back from my first ride on my 03 rx-1. the list of mods are as follows. it has a bender clutch kit, air filters with an evac kit, ski doo precision skis, and a custom made seat. the sled is insane. i love the thing, the only problem is i can not keep the skis on the ground. any throttle under 30 mph the skis start to come. i need to solve this issue. please voice your input. thanks in advance. matt

My guess...limiter straps are too loose.

My guess as well. The skid is set up right now to where either the limiter or transfer rods or both are putting all the weight on the skid for hookup off the line, like a lake racer would do. You're wanting to ride it on the trail and have to pull the limiters up and rods correct to get the weight on the skis.

contact richie rich!!! tell him whats going on, he has a thicker sway bar for the fronts... that should help if not cure it completely! i talked to both mr.sled and rich about that same problem last wekend and that is what they suggested!

shorten the limiter straps in the fron of the rear suspension. by doing this the rear suspension will put more weight on the skis. The front of the suspension will sit lower with the limiter strap shortened taking weight off the track and outting it on the skis. I hope this helps. I am happy to hear you like your RX-1. I really enjoy mine too.

i ordered an arctic cat rear cupler kit. acccording to skydog this should solve my problem. we will see next friday when we arrive in silver city michigan.

why dont you adjust the blocks on the skid??? they have three settings. when I built the sled I set them up in the middle setting.
