surprised no ratcheting, weight transfer fairly controllable, good power, saw 92 mph and still pulling quite hard, but throttle response is gonna take getting used to, I'm gonna try stiffening the rear a bit and softening the front, hope that might help the steering, I find there is alot of resistance in turning the bars, and holding them there through a turn, maybe needs different skis, anyone know what I mean?

I have also tried my RTX and wow, the trottle responce is great... It feels like ON/OFF and I love it! Havent got enough miles to know how the skis work so Ill have to come back to that.. But mine has enough skipressure. ;)!

What do you mean by the throttle response will take some getting used to?

Go put a truck in 4-low range and try to smoothly accelerate. The sleds throttle response makes it really jumpy at slow speeds. Not a problem but like he said, it will just take some getting use to.....

It feels cind of like my old SX with pipes, porting and alot of other things... But eaven more agressige... Its Great

I agree and felt the same way after my first ride on it. Not sure if its because its first ride of the season or because I'm coming of a 600 (pin it)....its like a go fast button, fun for sure but might be a little tiring after a long day of riding.

Do you think a little more gear would smooth or broaden this out.....?

Yes I do think gearing up a tooth or 2 may mellow it out. Should improve top speed considering the engine appears to have enough torque and hp to pull it....

I put on C@A outlaws and it's a bear to turn, even in powder.

Fox floats, and air pressure have alot to do with that ,
just spend time ,
the sled is totally tunable ,
I loved my rtx so much is gave it boost for this year! mpi

Just noticed Nitro !! sorry I still lov my rtx. apex

How far off is the "Dreameter"? I've had mine up to 100mph so far.

25 miles today. 3" of snow up to 12 in some ditches. There is no engine breaking at all that I noticed. Track must be pretty tight not to ratchet. Would like staighter handlebars, I seem to be putting my hands right on the curve of the handlebars to feel normal but I am still a yamaha virgin. Power wasnt impressive to me today but i was riding in new snow with no base so hook-up wasnt great. Jumping field aproaches felt good. Floats had about 85PSI in from factory. Front felt like it could take some big jumping at this pressure. Several club members coming over tomorrow to rip around a bit. One will have a new 600sdi xp. Should be fun. Dropped the fox's down to 75psi to see if much change in 10psi increments.

Fox floats were up about 15psi as compared to cold settings. Riding hard will ramp up air pressure. Still not sure about handlebars. Wish they were not as swept back. Suspension on RTX seems like it might be just right for the bigger aggressive rider. Power seems impressive but hard to judge without good base. Fuel about 90 mi on first tank. Engine breaking is a none issue.
