I picked up an 08 FX Nytro for my son this year and he loves it. I really never got an opportunity to ride it this year until last weekend in the Northwoods. I let my wife ride my Apex and I rode my sons FX. I couldn't believe how much fun I had, doesn't have the top-end that I have but the forward ride position, low end power, and the lighter feel was awesome. In fact, I enjoyed it so much I am considering getting one for myself. I am 6'3" 215lbs, an aggressive rider and like to ride the woods and occasionally bang the ditches. With this in mind would I be happy with the XTX or should I stick with the FX/RTX? Is the longer track more difficult to maneuver in the woods?

i like the lenth of the short track and the short track has more weight transfer. and they maneuver the same probly cuz the tip up, but if one were to maneuver better the short track nytro would. and if u want more top end get ulmers stage 2 clutch kit, it will give it approximatly 5 mph depending on sled or w.e

The best advice I would say is to go to a dealer and demo a XTX to see if you would like it. The XTX is 4-8mph faster on top end then the 121", floats better off trail and pulls harder then the 121" But it may not handle as well in the trail. Some say it does some not so much. My self I like mine, it's the XTX and it's pretty good as far as handling is concerned. Also, not my sled was an Apex... NO regrettes so far..
