Wife and I went for a little boot tonight
This was the first ride after the intake was moved outside the cab.
Outside temp was -2c and intake temp was 0c big difference from intake in the cab (32c when riding)
Sled with intake out of hood feels crisp it seems to spool up faster and just plain feels faster!!
What a rush when pulling the trigger..
Sled is perfect now power wise no need for anymore..

My original plan was to buy sidewinder but happy i decided to keep my Viper and turbo it!!!!!
Now that motor is where I want to be and satisfied. This summer I will be sending shocks to Cannondale for revalving (will be sending.wife's zr 7000 shocks too) I hear nothing but good thing about his work...

Mark I'm glad your enjoying your newly found power, but just curious if you miss that o-60 snap that the sled had prior to the turbo, as I am considering a hurricane turbo, but my only gripe is that low end lag and then uncontrollable track spin.

Actually I like this set up much better (clutching set up) na with all mods I couldn't crawl around at low speeds it was jumpy.. I raced my good buddy for comparison ( 2016 stock viper with pipe )
And on take off we were dead even for about 50 to 100 feet then I started pulling further and further away...

Come to the dark side I promise you will not regret it

Talk to hellflyer on the hurricane kit he loves it
If I were to do it over hurricane would be 1st Choice because of easy installation no mods comparing to mpi

I don't think my sled lost any "snap" with the turbo. That is one thing these have over the factory turbo sleds--they still run a higher compression piston. I can still pop my front end over low speed bumps and holes. correct clutching is key.
I have over 4000 miles on my Hurricane 190 kit. No problems.

U won't lose any of the "snap" so to speak when going with a turbo. There literally is no lag on these when tuned correctly and they can be clutched to be as smooth as you want them to be. My viper is engaged and rolling at 22-2300 rpm and I can hold 1 mph steady for as long as I want but hit wide open it it's full power in an instant. Tuning and clutching are the 2 biggest things and I feel from everything I've heard and read the hurricane kits are top shelf.

I really like the Yamaha clutching I got with my kit !!! It's super smooth with low engagement and rpms are right at 8800rpm at wot but wouldn't mind adventually playing around with different set ups

Thanks guys for all the great replies, I'm still dialing in my clutches after the straight line header and Evo stage 4 flash, we'll see , maybe I'll be giving Dave a call in the spring time as he usually has pretty good discounts then.
