Conditions were crap so it was hard to get a real feel for the suspension. Frozen concrete and no grooming. Temps around 15 F with wind gusts of 25-30 mph.

Overall, I think the XTX has great potential. I like the throttle response, ergonomics, seating position, bars and riding while standing.
I have the Bergstom triple point skegs with 6 " carbides and it railed in the corners as the snow was frozen hard pack. No pushing or darting. Surprisingly, the heated grips were hot. The suspension seemed to soak up any hits in the front with no jarring and the rear seemed to just follow along while bridging the bumps. The speeds were not real fast, 45 mph or so as this was it's maiden voyage and need to keep it under 6000 rpms, so more speed might have have had different results. No exhaust resonation so don't need ear plugs as I had to wear them with the Apex GT. Nice mellow exhaust sound especially blipping the throttle at idle and can't really hear anything other than wind at speed. Tall windscreen worked well keeping the bulk of the airblast out of the cockpit. I like it much better than the Apex GT as it feels lighter and more responsive. On a couple of rollers I could see how easy it would be to lift the front end. This sled is much closer to the dirt bike riding experience than any sled I've had before. No overheating lights as there was enough loose powder to keep things cool. Really can see how much better the 144" longer track is through the bumps. Only had 121 inchers before.
Most likely going to VT next week to ride on groomed trails with improved conditions. That should be more telling but I'm very pleased with what I've experienced so far. No doubt the best sled I've owned. It's a keeper.

Nice photos.......wish I was riding there instead of riding my computer watching another snowstorm do a near miss as it always does. I am beginning to think MPLS/ST.PAUL has grown too large and misdirects snowstorms like the city of Chicago does. Everything goes around us here. Anyways.....good luck on the new XTX...that's what I'd probably buy as we speak today.
