Well I just got back from the dealer, rode an 07 GT about 4 miles and ripping around a field with 10-12" powder, and I was not overly impressed... it was cold (no wind protection on legs) and like riding a underpowered quad .... handling wasn't the "wild fun ride" I expected. I feel this machine has a purpose and will sell very well but may not be what I need as a flatlander who covers major miles each trip.
It does "wheelie" very well, and soaks up smaller bumps just fine I liked that part but felt a little too high in the saddle to get aggressive in fast corners on the river bends, and I doubt I would keep up to my posse on the river at all.
It quit pulling at around 100 kph (62mph) and then just kinda sneaked it's way up to 135kph (80mph) this was on speedo or "dream meter" of course... I could have held it out longer I'm sure, but it was a demo and there wasn't a lot of point to it after 60mph.
Overall the FX chassis is not any kind of replacement for the rx/rs chassis, but I don't think it was meant to be.
score out of 100 on initial impressions? 70
