What do you guys buy in order to switch the wheels over from stock to a 8" or 9" wheel in the rear? Im wondering because i heard niko say the apex is easier to tip over when just the wheels are on the rear and the inner. What would this effect also? Like the cons?
I have an apex mountain so im assuming ice age rails. But I am clueless on how to convert the stock wheels and bearings and all that stuff.

Hope someone can chime in.
Thanks.
Tyler.

I don't understand why some feel the need to go to a larger than stock rear wheel. There is no gain whatsoever under 140 MPH.

The drawback is they will bottom out when susp collapses on the tunnel. Stick with stock dia.

If you run just the inner wheels the track flexes to allow it to tip easier. Could break the fiberglass rods if doing this, espically on a 15 wide track, however the rail width will still control this somewhat. Just don't want to land crossed up on the rear end.

I have Ice Age rails on mine with a 2 wheel 8" axle.

The rails don't tip up 1" at the back anymore, so I think the top of the wheel is at the same height.

If you have the stock skid you can just get a 2 wheel axle and use 2 of your old 7" wheels. I'm using this axle on mine:

I've heard it does tip easier, but I haven't tried it yet, no snow.
