Just bought a fix Grizz 700 torque clutch kit. Comes with new sheave ,weights, shims, etc.
the sheave is exactly the same as one from a grizz660. I have them sitting sisde by side. No additional machine work has been done to it. They have punched there name in the outside rim and ground off the yamaha part #'s inside with a die grinder. Are the parts different than the clutch on the 700 ? Have not taken mine aprt yet to see. I phoned them incase I received the wrong parts. They said put it in and it will work. Weight are 18 grams instead of stock 20-21 gram. Would be pissed if it is the same sheave as the 700. They seel it like they made this part themselves. it is a Yamaha part not theres. Bought it off ebay. @ weks ago paid $299 . They sell it now for $259. I got ripped. They said the buy metal in bulk brings the price down. ull they buy the part from yamaha and grind the #'s off. Will try and get my money back if its the same as 700 sheave. What do you think Yamaha would say if they are selling their part as Fix's. Can we say Fraud.
So if you have installed one of these is the sheave and the cam plate the same or different than the 700's

wkeggenhoff ... I bought a Fix PS sheave some time back. But I bought mine right from Fix.
Now, at first, I thought they hadn't done anything either, but if you look at the face, where the belt rides ... & compare it to your stock one ... you should see a difference.

Notice the flats down where the shaft goes thru it.

I did pay the $260 for mine, back in March I think, & personally, I love it.
Yes, the weights are lighter than stock. But I didn't use the ones that came with the kit. I already had a Dalton clutch kit in & I put those rollers in the Fix sheave.

Look the sheave over real good, if it IS a Fix sheave, you will find a difference.

Later ...
