I have searched and haven't been able to find a solution so here is the problem. First ride on my '08 RTX. Short ride no faster that 20mph, after about 10 minutes the yellow engine light began to flash as well as the engine icon on the gauge. I Shut the sled down, waited a few minutes, fired it up and no warnings/codes. Seemed to run fine.
No codes appeared on the gauge, as I bought this used, do not have a manual to give me any idea of possible problems. Any help would be appreciated.

Was it overheating?

That I don't know, I was giving my son a a ride, about -10 degrees C, moderate snow, I am new to four strokes so I really don't know what to expect. Was this short ride enough to heat the motor enough and is that what the flashers are indicating

Well i know when i let mine idle for to long it will shut off by itself from overheating. Ive had my engine light flash while i was riding slow for a extended amount of time. It just made me go faster and then light went off.

If there were no codes, then ill bet it was just overheating. Especially since you said the warning lights were gone when you started it back up.

Thanks, another nytro owner suggested the same thing. Thanks for the help and I'll keep a watch on it. Maybe have to get the mountain cooler
