Does a flat spot mean the belt will break?

Told I have "bad flat spot"
Want to ride this weekend before bringing it in

Can this cause
1) Damage to clutches or drive shaft
2) Belt will likely break?

Change the belt. The flat spot will cause a vibration and will eventually heat up and fail. When a belt fails there is always a chance that the clutches could get damaged.

x2 on it will shake like crazy. got on gf apex (2011) and she flat spotted the belt in the yard before the ride on saturday and it drove me nuts in the 5 min i was riding the sled.
