This is just a suggestion but the D-rings on the new Apex/Attack side panels should be stowed in the aft position.

Yes my thought here is if the rings are folded toward the rear there would be less likelyhood for them to potentially catch or hook on to anything that may brush past the D-rings.

I'm not sure the d-rings are such a great idea? Isn't there another way to attach the panels? Just wondering. studdog

I think the removable side panels and hood are a good idea when I'm in my shop. I almost think it would be better if they were hinged like the rev for trail/parking lot use.

Instead of the d-rings, if you are concerned, just replace them with "button heads", similar to what's on the tank panels.

Tork-
Yesterday, I ordered the "long" style, after receiving an e-mail reply from racebolts. I'm not 100% sure the person answering the e-mail exactly understood the question...so I was going to wait until after I received them to post my findings.

Thanks guys for the "buttonhead idea". Never knew they existed. studdog.
Why not just remove the D-ring & use a stubby screw driver??

If your concern is that the d-ring might catch on to something, take the d-ring off and use the existing slot on the head of the d-ring bolt, so you can turn it with a small flathead screw driver instead of the d-ring.

It's a good thing these sleds are so reliable, putting these panels on and off is a real pain! Plus, have you tried the airbox /under hood disassembly yet!
