Found a place for the clear tail lights

All you have to do is order the clear tail lights for a 2000-2001 Yamaha R1
I have been told that they are the same.

I dont think Yamaha sells the clear style tail light lens, I believe they are aftermarket only....

My dealer has them hanging on the wall, comes with red bulbs already installed. They are NOT Yamaha OEM.

Clear ones on Ebay right now. Use your own bulbs and sockets.

Cant you just go in with a needle nose and bust out the "red egg shaped inserts" leaving the clear lens???

I was pretty sure that somebody in a fairly recent thread did that.

BTW I bought 1157 LED bulbs at autozone for $16 for the pair.

You can go to your dealer and have them order them from Parts Unlimited. Most dealers have accounts with them. They are for the R1 bike 00-01. They offer 2 different kinds in the catalog.
