I also posted this on the 2 stroke side.....

Well everybody, I just got off the phone with Mike Carver (Carver Performance) and he is completed with my Mnt Viper.....

He installed Fox Float shocks on the front, re-valved to Float 2 specs and he also installed his proprietary reservoirs on them....

On the rear, he has installed an Ohlins center shock. He took the one designed for the RX1 Mnt., revalved and re-sprung it for Mnt Viper weight, and installed. Mike Carver likes these better than Floats on the rear...........

Say what you will, my Mnt Viper should ride smooth as Tiger's 5th mistress does........

He also let loose the limiter straps and adjusted her for better powder performance. I'm driving out to Thief River Falls, MN tomorrow to pick her up.

I will say this, his prices are 1/2 of what my dealer charges (Please don't mention that to him). And he is the best with shocks, suspensions, and skids. Period. Just talking to him, he is an encyclopedia about improving performance/ride quality out of sleds..........

I will post pics when I get home with it.....

hey mtnviper I wanted to let you know - we make several trips out west and are working on at least 3 with the 1st going to Cooke city in January. We normally pull a 44' Atlas moving van and take 2 trucks with seating for 10. Fuel split is cheap and with that many guys the lodging split is cheap also.

We also usually make a t least 1 trip to Island Park - West Yellowstone. We have a buddy that owns a house there and rents it for $ 1000.00 per wk split by 10 guys is $ 100.00 for the week. I am going as much as poss. I bought a turbo 03 rx-1 and an 05 RMK 900 159" to play in the deep stuff.

If your in need of group to go with or have a couple of other guys looking to go let me know.

Thanks Sticks and Yamadog!!!!!!!!!! We all should plan a ride together up the north shore (TY ride anyone?????) together. Of course, the big issue is the complete lack of snow there right now!!!!!!!

BTW, the shock are installed and the sled is in the trailer is in the drive way right now.

Carver charged me 2 hours of labor to install Float 2's on the front and Ohlins on the rear center..... That is just crazy...... He probably spent 10 hours just fabricating the frickin' brackets for the Floats on the front!!!!!!!!

The man is a true gentleman and a scholar....... Oh, and did I mention he is also a Yamaha suspension genius!!!!!!

Can't say enough good things about Mike Carver and his team out there in Thief River Falls, MN.

TY ride sounds awesome. I lease a place for the winter just east of Hurley. Plenty of snow going up at noon today can sleep 10 with 4 baths. I also have a small cabin just north of Brit right on the Taconite trail by the Wooden Table for when the snow does come.

All loaded and waiting for one guy to show up he was supposed to be here at 12 its 1:15 GRRRRRRRR :o|
