Fox Float from RTX on MTX??

As I had understod the front shocks from RTX are a little bit longer than on the MTX. I get get a pair of Fox Floats from an RTX and is that better than the original MTX -07 shocks even if they are longer? Can I use them in original mounting brackets or do I have to move the bracket due to the longer shocks?

Fox Floats to MTX are much more expensive and ofcourse better but that price is also much higher. I can get a pair used RTX shocks for about $300 and new to MTX are about $700

you can use them but have to let all of the air out of the RTX floats to get them in to mounts. and that extra 1in has your arms maxed out for travel. i know the gytr shocks do work and there set up good in the mtx arms. my bro had a set on his MTX and i liked the way the sled preformed.
